Required Initial Review: Non-refundable fee of $200.

- Determine if there is sufficient evidence to proceed with developing a Nexus or DBQ.
- Review whatever documentation you have – no matter how scarce.
- Review your written summary or your personal statement indicating how you see your case.
- Determine feasibility: Not all cases can be helped through a Nexus letter or DBQ.
Dr. Kane will not say she can help if she knows she cannot.
- If a Nexus cannot be supported, Dr. Kane will provide a brief written explanation of the missing links that will likely be needed to succeed in gaining service-connection from the VA.
- This summary is intended to help you understand what additional evidence or treatment may be needed for a future claim. This summary addresses the “why” and “where” details of a claim’s weaknesses. This in and of itself is often worth the $200 fee.
